Make the most of your time in Hong Kong and give yourself a little luxury escape. Hong Kong is an iconic city with a stunning skyline and the perfect place for all kind of experiences, from relaxing with a view to tasting the best foods. I’ve been to Hong Kong many times, and each visit were all very different. Below is only just a taste of what Hong Kong has to offer.
Check in at a luxury hotel
Hong Kong is filled with many luxurious hotels. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a fabulous stay at the Ritz Carlton. The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. I was lucky to have enjoyed a stay in a Harbour room with the sweeping views of the cityscape and harbour. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and the service was seamless from check in to check out. It was one of the best locations in Kowloon close to many shops and attractions. If you can get club access, the food in the lounge is amazing and you get high tea every day!
Get a taste of Michelin dining
Hong Kong is spoilt with choice when it comes to food as its home to a
Within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, are an array of lovely restaurants. On the 25th floor, I was lucky to dine at Pierre, a two-Michelin star contemporary French restaurant, which is led by Gagnaire’s protégé and Jacky Tauvry. It was a great dining experience overlooking the spectacular Victoria Harbour. It’s the perfect fusion of Paris and Hong Kong. With seasonal menus, the summer menu offered obsiblue gambas carpaccio to start, followed by seabass fillet poached in clarified butter, apple cider and ponzu caramel sauce and Wild duck and foie gras pie. Each dish was very creative and thoughtful, an overall delicious meal that filled my taste buds with an array of flavours. To end I had the fabulous, Pierre Gagnaire’s Grand Dessert. For those who fancy French food, Pierre is the place to visit.
Take in a view of Victoria Harbour
There is no better way to end the night than watching the sunset over Hong Kong’s stunning skyline. One of the best ways to end the day is to watch the sunset over the Victoria Harbour. The best way to take in the view is to go to the rooftop of the Ocean Terminal Deck, which is the new extension building of Harbour City. A space with 270-degree panorama views overlooking Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Luckily, when I there, the sky was mostly clear, the weather is very hard to predict with most days being too cloudy. It wasn’t too crowded when I went and I found a spot to enjoy the lovely sunset
